if you are, then you belong in this interest! Tsundere, (????, Tsundere?) is a Japanese character archetype describing an initially combative personality, which eventually becomes loving and emotionally vulnerable, normally found in Japanese anime and manga. - answers.com if you are a tsundere or you admire tsunderekko then add this interest! and tell us why you think you are a tsundere. do you know movie characters, tv characters, cartoon characters, anime characters that are tsundere? list 'em here!

You've certainly proved yourself as a tsundere on starting a discussion that also involves tsunderes, secretbear I am not particularly a tsundere person but I really do admire a person with this kind of personality. They are strong-willed and independent but, also have a soft-spot within themselves which makes them interesting. I just love characters like them be it in anime, manga, or even asian tv dramas

I beat up half the other kids in Kindergarten. But I have many friends who see me as kind and loving. Why am I initially tough and then not? Been hurt too many times and people have to prove they won't hurt me before I care about them and play nice. One of my friends calls me a tough marchmellow! Interesting topic. Take care.

that's a good one! tough marshmallow. ^__^ whoa! you beat half the other kids your kindergarten? scary! but i can understand you when you said that you've been hurt too many times that's why you act tough at first. maybe even hard on people first. i can relate to that.

i see. so that's why you beat 'em up. those brothers of yours were quite odd. they treated toys differently from other kids. good thing you never messed with other kids' toys just like your brothers did to your dolls. anyway, i hope your kids aren't as odd as your brothers.

Thank you for best response. When I was little, my brothers didn't know how to play with things. They had metal tonka trucks that could withstand them. But my records they used like frisbees and smashed them, my dolls they took apart because they wanted to see how they worked, etc. In other words, they broke or messed up almost everything I owned. Fast forward to me going to Kindergarten. Kids wanted to play with my stuff. I only understood other kids breaking or taking apart my stuff. I did not understand the word, "Share." So I clobbered them. Half the class was related to the couple of kids that wanted to play with my stuff. So now I'm in a self-defense situation of half the kids after me. But I was up for the challenge, I took on and took out half the class! Luckily, as time when on, I understood things better, like you can't judge everyone else by my family. Take care

Hey secretbear, yes I can classify myself as a Tsundere.........heheheeee its good to learn a new word from a different language.........Tsundere it sounds nice though I dont know how to pronounce it........*please you can help me in that* I think am a Tsundere because I am an independent person, i make my own decisions and they turn out right, I am stron-willed and I never say die even if there is no little hope.........I also am soo much emotional and my tears are so close that they can get out any time they are triggered. I have not watched cartoon or anime of that type.......i like Tom and jerry.

If you would like, we could be good friends and I have all the Sailor Moon films. I can share them with you.

I could be described as a Tsundere. I can't really describe an anime character as Tsundere... Maybe Sesshomaru and even InuYasha from InuYasha shows Tsundere characteristics as the series moves along...

Sesshomaru shows signs of emotions when it comes to protecting Rin. Also, his greatest altruistic gesture happens in the third movie, Swords of an Honorable Ruler (????? ?????? , Tenka Hado no Ken), where Sesshomaru seems to protect InuYasha as his younger brother, a link to his father, that he admires so much.

i haven't seen sesshomaru showing any signs of emotions so i can't comment on that. as for inu-yasha, i guess he gets a little emotional when it comes to Kagome.

You know what, this describes me completely. The reason people like me are like this, is that we know that we love too hard, and don't want to be hurt, so we put on a hard front to keep people away so we don't have to show our vulnerable side. Also, we believe things are falling apart when things go wrong, no matter how small it is, because we have been through hurt so many times that we believe its the end of the world every time something small goes wrong. Its a cycle really, we are combative to protect the vulnerable, then when we get vulnerable and perceive a threat to it, we become combative again.

hey! you said it right! i so agree. we don't want to be hurt so we put a tough front. we don't show our weakness because we are afraid to get hurt. we act tough because we don't wanna show our weakness. and yeah, even the smallest of things matters a lot. in my case, i give meaning to the smallest details and i get overly affected by it. but yeah, even if inside, we are dying, helpless, we still put that tough act. is it bad that way?

you're right. we don't just push away the help that people are trying to extend to us. sometimes, people don't even bother to ask if we are okay because of our tough act. because they think we are strong inside and out.

Hi Secretbear, I can relate to all of the above terms, to varying degrees. I've not heard of this Tsundere yet, but his/her characterization sounds interesting! If I'm to compare myself with this character archetype, I think I strongly resemble him. There have a been a lot of situations when I have been initially tough and finally emotionally vulnerable. Being tough is really tough.

hey i_luv_u. tsundere is a Japanese term usually used to describe girls who has a combative personality but actually affectionate inside. yeah, its tough to be tough. and you know the hardest part of being tough? no one would ask if you're okay or not since outside, they can see you're okay.

Hmmm, the first character that came into my mind is Tsunade. Maybe because tsundere sounds like Tsunade. hehe. She's a tsundere right? I mean, she's strong-willed but she still has some issues with her past that gets her emotional sometimes. Some of my friends call me Tsunade, but I don't think I am a tsunderekko because I don't get too emotional. Of course I still have emotions, but in a normal way. Maybe I'm more of a normal girl with some anger management issues, that's why they called me Tsunade. hehehe. Or maybe a split personality, who knows? I'm a shy girl who when provoked stands her ground and tells people off. hehehe. I get a check mark on fighter, but as for the emotional aspect I could only think of anger. Crying and sadness really doesn't apply. So I therefore conclude I'm not a tsundere. hehe.

I guess you're more of Tsunade when it comes to showing your anger. i'm not sure if Tsunade can be considered a tsundere. she never gets lovestruck. ^__^;; i've never seen her being "soft".

I don't think I've seen her being lovestruck, but I remember in earlier episodes before she was even Hokage, she has this painful memory of her lover and brother who were killed when she were younger. It was the reason why she almost helped Orochimaru because he promised to resurrect them. And it was also the reason why she didn't like Naruto at first, and why she adores him now, because of Naruto's dream to be a Hokage that's similar to her lover's and brother's dream. Anyway, the recent episodes don't show much of an emotional Tsunade. Maybe she has moved on... hehe.

hehehe!!! Kagami or Kagamin is an example of Tsundere! hahahaha i'm not the type. hehe! I'm actually confused about my emotions because a lot of people got confused by it too. hmmm...maybe my older sister is the one but not me. my attitude par with Mokona! hehehe...

Repeated tries, despite facing huge failures.. there is something in me that constantly pushes that you can do.. try again...but surely i must add that this varies with different intensities to different problem. It is on this lines i am pursuing my will to succeed in earning online.. $1000 a month. May be the goal is a long way to go, but i am contented that i am moving towards it every day.

I would say Tsunade from Naruto and Bulma from Dragonball Z are the first two females in anime that come to mind. Both initially come off as aggressive, but care deeply about their loved ones. You might say Chi Chi from the Dragonball series is like that also.

I can identify with this character, most people find me hard to aproach, my mum thinks i am cold, my brother thinks i am selfish, but in reality i am one person who will go out my way for someone, espesially a friend. Most people consider me weird, harsh and unfeeling, they get shocked when i cry its like, OH MY GOD she's crying!!!. can be embarassing at times but i've learnt to live with it. so yeah i am a Tsundere,
