I travel with a backpack and a day pack. I fit important things in my handbag. I never travel with a suitcase. I try to travel as light as possible but now I have a baby son I must take many things for him. He needs to have his fold up lightweight travel cot and formula milk powder tins. I take a few nappies and buy more in my destination. In my backpack I put clothes at the bottom and then other things on top like snacks, a plastic cup, a plastic plate, plastic cutlery, snorkeling mask and toiletries. When I was in Finland I met an Australian lady that showed me how to travel lightly. She put all her stuff in a day pack. She took two sets of clothes so it meant she had to often wash them. She had a small bag of toiletries. She took pages out of her guide book as she traveled around Europe. When I was in Australia I went to the post office and sent some things home. I think there is no point in traveling with non-essential items.

Depends where i go...for example if im going to visit family in canada or australia or in england or anywhere else (yes i have family everywhere lol), i usually travel heavy , but if im just vacationing somewhere i always travel light because believe me i do prefer traveling light than having to carry many heavy luggage around...but eitherway i always come back with heavy luggage from where i went lol

Hi! I tend to travel light but come home heavy.LOL! I really dont like to bring in so much stuff but I do prefer to bring lots of storage space. Im fond of buying souvenirs and gifts for my friends and family back home whenever I travel so gotta have space for those. About the women traveling heavy, well, I guess most women dont want to part with their wardrobe and cant stand to use the same outfit twice or something. Plus every outfit has to have its own pair of shoes. At least thats just my take on it. I prefer to bring things that I can carry on my own and I really dont like to ask for others' help if I can still do it by myself. If I cant then help is much appreciated.^_^

I am a minimalist traveler. (A factor to that is because I don't really have a lot of things to bring and I don't really use a lot of implements). I just want to keep my package one piece and if possible, small. But my girlfriend is exactly the opposite. She always like to bring all her stuff when she is traveling. And when I am traveling with her, I end up carrying it for her, of course. She has a box of beauty kit, different from a box of hygiene kit, and most of her clothes. And most of the time, she would like to bring all her working documents. She said she wanted to bring it in case her boss calls and ask for something. I think bringing a lot of package doesn't bother her. Actually, it feels good for her to know that all that she will ever need will be close to her.

i always travel light i just take few key pices of clothes and accessories which i can mix and match and i just take one sports shoes and one formal slippers with me and i always make sure that they are comfortable and i avoid carrying anyy extra thing with me so that i can shop more as many countries have restriction on weight that a particular person can carry.

I prefer to travel very light because I do not like to carry a lot of weight and the more you pack the more you have to carry and a lot of things can get very heavy, I take just what I need for one day, then if I need to I will stop at a laundrymat to wash anything that needs washing or if I have the money I will just buy a new outfit if I find that I really need something different than I have it is not good in my opinion to have to carry a lot of stuff it becomes a big burden. at least that is what i think

I am a person who travels heavy. When I am packing, I do not know what I will wear where ever I am going and I bring 98% of my clothes with me. Last summer, I travelled and my suitcase was only allowed to be 25lbs and my was overweight, something like 30lbs + I had a carry on bag that was also overweight but they did not care if that was overweight. I know that I should not bring everything but think about what outfits and things I should bring with me, but I cant help but think, as I am packing, "what if I need this? I am bringing it!" and then that is how my suitcase gets overweight.
