Responding to the News categories

Hi all, Just wonder with so many topics and discussions in mylot. I found out that only few people responded to the News categories. I wonder why. Have you ever responded? If so, what is the sections you like (eg. entertainment, business, world headlines, etc.) If you never respond, why? Comments are welcome. What do you think about the "News Categories"? Just one of curiousity... :) Thanks.

I did, and I usually respond to a WORLD HEADLINE or anything about the politics in the US though I am not from that country. I just do feel like saying something about the current happenings in the world. Nice discussion here... Thanks for asking our opinion. God bless you my friend

I am new to this community and the thing you said about news is absolutely true. This is not only here but almost all the communities I came across either it is web world or real world. News has lost its place with too many news providers and so less to offer

hi r_yuen! i hardly respond to news-related discussions. i just think there is less effort in those kinds of discussions since they are probably copied from one site and posted here. especially those that provides the link for the news article. but i do reply to one or two news discussion once in a while, only if i am really interested with the news. but most of the times, the moment i see the link for it, i immediately ignore the discussion.

I have only responded to news a few times, and only if the headline happened to pop up on the front page and it caught my eye. But for the most part I don't really bother with the news, and I just look for good discussions to reply to. Usually when I have responded to news it was during a slow time when I couldn't find much else to respond to at the moment. I think the news categories are fine, I just usually don't have anything really good to say about most of the news stories, but when I do have something to say I go to town with it. LOL
