if your best friend committed a crime and told you about it, would you turn them into the police?
(keep in mind that in this situation, once you were told, if you did not turn them in you could be charged as an accomplis and receive the same charge as your friend)

If a friend of mine did a crime and they told me about it they must really want someone to know and want to get caught! Why else would they share? I would turn them in but without them knowing it was me. Let the court decide their fate. I know that sounds a little harsh but if a friend of mine committed a crime then they are no one I want to hang around with!

don't think it sounds harsh at all, you could end up having your life ruined and they made the choice to commit the crime, i would turn them in as well
