A four year old boy allegedly was assaulted inside our local grocery store -- the father punched the guy who did the inappropriate touching -- the father gets arrested, and the would-be molester goes back to work?!??!?

My girlfriend and I are boycotting this, and all Market Baskets till this guy is fired. We think we may have even BEEN there the day it happened, and we know exactly who the described offender is from seeing him around.
This guy, because of his advanced age and no previous record, didn't even get ARRESTED!!!

I can't believe that because this man had no criminal record, that he wasn't arrested. For gosh sake, are they going to let a murderer go and not arrest him because he has no previous record? What is wrong with this system? I think the father did the right thing. I would have punched somebody for touching my child too! This whole incident was not handled properly at all in my way of thinking. I hope he gets fired and has to sit in jail as well!

I forgot to mention -- on top of this, unrelated though it is, a family friend of ours had her purse snatched in the parking lot of the same store last night. I have a feeling this store will be a ghost town for a while.
At least the police quoted in the article said they sympathized with the father. But record or not, it is shameful they didn't book him. All he got was a summons to court.

Can't be good publicity for that store. Sounds like it would be a good place to stay away from. I would change stores if I were you!
