I basically like sports and shooting games. Once I find a new game, it is very hard to stop. I really love games but I think its time for me to stop and study. Why are games so addictive?

I think is a combination of stuff.
* you get to be someone else and do things that you could not do in real life
* you get to have skills that you could not in real life
* there is little learning curve. once you have a good grasp on how to use the controllers, they are used the same regardless of the game.

Because it is fun and exciting.. And it gives you a chance to practice your skills and what not.. Plus it can get more addictive when you can get up to a certain amount of points and all. Or if you are close to winning something.. But when you start to win some money or make any money, then it is on then.. It can become addictive.. I know people play games also to relieve some stress..
