In my country its rampant that someone will offer you out in the open a cellphone that you really know that its stolen.and what is more tempting its in a lower price and the cellphone is up to date.

Why would anyone consider buying a STOLEN cellphone. you cannot even activate it!! When I buy a used phone. I always call and get the ESN cleared first. If it is even a question I move on. If the seller is not willing to give me that information not worth my time. besides, when someone loses a phone, they probably call the police and/or the cellphone company and they would put out an alert for the phone to not be used or activated. I hope I can change your mind and not buy a stolen phone

no i won't..this is because the stolen phone don't have warranty. The most important thing is that i don't know how the owner treat the phone.Although sometime the appearance mihgt look nice but it doen't mean that the inside is good.Furthermore i'm the kind that no prefer to get a second hand thing unless i got no choice.

I would not even if i knew if it was stolen. For that matter, I would not even accept it if given free. Not only as an ethics issue, I could not have it bugging my concience in any way.

I would not buy it as well. Even how good of a price they could give me, I'd definitely say no and even if it's a pretty good cellphone model or something new. I guess I won't be able to use it with my conscience telling me at least that it's stolen. I did work hard for the money I used to pay for it, but I can't forgive myself if I consider that more than what the previous real owner had to go through. I'd have to agree to you on that. In my 3 1/2 years working, I've had friends and co-workers with their cellphones being snatched or just taken from their desks. It is partly some of their fault since a few of them did flaunt it. But still, it's stealing. With that, I prefer buying new phones from official distributors.

if i have the knowleedge of it beig a stolen cellphone i will not buy it for any chance... if i do i will forever be haunted by the thoughts of what happened to its original owner etc... i really dont buy gadgets from people that i dont know for instance a stranger who would approach me and offer me stuff.. i would rather go to the authorized dealer and transact business there....

No, never.one should never buy such mobile. in my opinion to buy such items is equivalent to committing such crime.it is a crime.we should always help our police to arrest such people.we should not get into temptation . once get into it you will fall for ever and get into problems.
