Since I moved 1 month ago to my new home, I now have a new kitchen. Nobody has used any of the appliances before but me. The place I moved into was just renovated and all new appliances were put in and I love it. All of my appliances are stainless steel but I am not crazy about that since they are so hard to clean. I have a convection oven and a warming plate under neath where the drawer is, that people usually put pots in. I have never seen anything like that before and it is great to keep food warm while the other food is still cooking. I have used it for a roated chicken that was cooked and my pototoes weren't quite ready. It kept the chicken nice and hot without cooking it anymore.
I have a garberator and I use it always. A lot less garbage I noticed. I only have one bag a week now. I also recycle my cans and paper and whatever I can.
So do you have stainless steel appliances and if so do you like them? How do you clean them, with what product?

Wow, a new kitchen. I would love to have a new kitchen. Heck I would settle for a new stove. Mine is built into the cabinets and it is not very big, but it gets the job done. I don't have any stainless steel appliances. Are they hard to keep looking nice?

Yes, they are hard to keep clean and even when I wipe them they look streaky so they don't look clean even when they are. they are a pain to be honest, and if I were to buy them myself I would just buy normal appliances.

Not all cleaners will leave the stainless stell non streaky. I really don't like stainless steel but since I am renting I don't have a choice. I clean houses for a living and I clean about 4 houses a day with stainless steel appliances and so I have a lot of experience with cleaning them, and to be honest, they are a pain in the butt, to get rid of streaks.

I have stainless steel appliances. I like the look of them. When we bought them the salesman told us to use WD40 on them to keep fingerprints and such from showing...instead of the special stainless steel cleaner. It works pretty well. I wipe them down with soapy sponge when they're dirty and then about twice a month I wipe some WD40 on them.
I've heard convection ovens are nice..I'd like to get one some day.

Yes it is nice to have a convection oven. My food cooks so much faster. I have never heard of useing WD40 so I say thanks for the idea and I will try it. I hope it doesn't harm the stainless steel after using a lot.
