Tragic (and depressing)

Yesterday my girlfriend and I were heading home on the highway when we saw what looked like a traffic stop with some arrests going on, but as we got up closer we could see that a state trooper was aiding some people whose dog had evidently jumped out of their vehicle. =( The dog was under a blanket with his face out, with the trooper and a civilian watching over him, and a second civilian was getting something out of the trunk. We were hoping the dog was still alive and waiting for an ambulance for an emergency vet. It was so sad, it looked like a pit bull/bulldog mix. I hate seeing stuff like that. I try to imagine the best case scenario turning out.

How so sad. My heart really break whenever I hear sad stories about dogs. I am a dog lover.

That's so awful. That's a big reason that I always have my dog restrained when she's riding in the car. It's worth the five second inconvenience to unlatch her to make sure that she doesn't hit the pavement.

How sad. These accidents do happen. I try not to let it ruin my day when I see it. But having had a similar experience, I am more likely to burst into tears. I hope the dog didn't suffer to badly.

We had a dog that fell out of our pickup truck when we were going down the hiway once. He got right up and was fine. I was real surprised, but he didn't seem to be any worse for the wear. I would say though that in my opinion the dog was still alive or they probably would have covered him completely and probably wouldn't be standing there waiting on the side of the road. They probably would have just put him back in the car to take to bury.WE will hope that it turned out okay.
