Earthbound Remake

I was playing the SNES Earthbound game, and was wondering if there were any planned 3d Earthbound games to be made, since the 64 Earthbound game was canceled forever ago. I know that there is probably going to be a Virtual Console release of Earthbound, but that wouldn't be 3d. Are there any plans on a Wii Earthbound game, or if a fan group is remaking it in 3d, or if a group of people would be willing to undertake this massive of a project.
