Robotic lawnmowers

Has anyone had any experience with or heard anything about the new robotic lawn mowers? I saw on the news where they were around $4000 but another version was coming out that would be around $1100. I have several yards to mow so I think it would come in handy if they really work the way they are suppose to.

I must have been hiding under a flat rock to have missed this innovation. Thanks for the news flash; I'll check out the site you indicated. I'd LOVE to sit and watch a mower cut my grass!

I didn't know anything about it either until a couple of weeks ago when I saw something about it on Yahoo.

It seems a little dangerous to let a machine free to roam. I always think what if that thing got out of the boundary? The damage that it could create could be more than the machine itself. It also sounds dangerous for children and pets. But it does sound like a good idea.

It could be. I don't really know that much about it. It does look to be fairly small though from the photo I have seen.

I've never heard of these, but I can imagine kind of how they would work. It's probably not worth your money unless you're a collector with a lot of money to spare! I mean, are people getting that lazy lately? haha, =P

Thanks for the response...and yes, I'm that lazy, lol. Seriously I've got 3 yards to mow and 2 of them quite large. I don't have a riding lawn mower either. My mom does and my hubby uses it when he mows but he won't let me use it. He says because its not automatic and I don't know how to drive it and he's afraid I'll tear it up. I either need to get one of the newer automatic riding lawn mower or a robotic one. Sounds like I am going to opt for the riding lawnmower.
