After what happen in my country (Iraq) about wars and killing and bombing, as they say now we have freedom but unlucky we have no safety, and that what forced us to leave Iraq and come to Egypt.
The major point of this discuss is my question:
Which one you prefer (Freedom) or (Safety)?
That mean can you live in a freedom life without safety, or live a safety life without freedom, I know it is conflict here, but I want to know what other people think about that.
Thanks in advance.

Freedom, because there is no such thing as complete safety. People are killed in their own homes everyday here in the U.S.. The degree of safety is about all you can control so yes i had rather have freedom to do as i choose, of course if i had ever lived in a war zone i might think differently!

I think that is right, but with safety you can do alot of things with your life.
Thank you for your post and have a nice day.

I believe that safety is much more important. What good is freedom if you have to live in fear?

I would rather have reedom. I can keep myself safe, but I could not bare liing a goernment-made "safe" life without freedom. You should read a book by Margret Atwood called The Handmaid's Tale, which tells a story of what happens when there is safety, but no freedom.
I am currently reading a book called Love IN A Torn Land, by Jean Sasson, about a Kurdish woman in Iraq, married to a Peshmerga. It's a fantastic book, and what she and her husband went through was amazig!!!
I have a Kurdish friend here in my hometown in Canada, who told me a lot o stories about his escape from Iraq.
