well i never... EVER.. see my dog or cats itch and scratch like they have fleas... but i took my little black cat in for being sick and they said he might have gotten sick from having fleas and im telling him that all my pets are indoors and dont have fleas.. so he combs my cat and there are fleas every where!! i felt like some horrible abusive pet owner!! when i was growing up and our family dog had fleas it was like they were tormented every second of the day itching and scratching and rolling around etc.. these dont do anything abnormal at all.. 2 of them are black so seeing them would be impossible unless you comb them and the white one is fluffy so you wouldnt be able to see if he had fleas either.. and no fleas have jumped on me.. i dont get it!??!?! i would fleas comb them all the time but ha.. a comb near my cats?!!?!? haha FUNNY!! not happening!! any i know when i lived in florida and i had a pet with fleas (and acted like it) i did the whole treating the house, carpet, yard and flea bath and combing etc.. and none of it seemed to work except the flea stuff you put on their neck which is really really expensive.. i already pay for prescription food and they all have everything they need and are happy but i cannot afford 50-100 a month to keep them all on it.. should i just treat the dog since she goes out to go potty?? why is only one cat getting sick?? they said i would have to bleach things to keep from the other cat getting sick and he never did but i did scrub everything down.. i just dont get it... are my animals mutant to where they dont even know they have fleas?? ugh im so mad!!

Rather than the expense of prescription food and vet visits, there are several simple and inexpensive ways to take care of the animals. If you have a major infestation of fleas, get a small bag of Sevin from any garden supply store. I've been assured by several veterinarians that is not toxic to pets, but it will kill fleas almost instantly. To prevent fleas, go to a health food store and pick up some powdered brewer's yeast and sprinkle it on their food. This changes their body chemistry such that fleas don't like it and won't stick around. Plus, it's good for them. I use an organic pet food by Innova called Evo. It has NO grain -- it's entirely meat based. The animals think this stuff is pet heroin. They won't touch anything else and I've noticed their health has improved tremendously.

well i cant change the diet of my cats because one has stomach issues and if he eats anything other than prescription food he could die but he isnt the one that is sick either and other than when they comb my pets there arent any fleas anywhere such as carpet or sofa.. i will check with the vet on the things mentioned and see if my cat can try any of them.. thanks!!
