Just one wish

A girl friend of mine was envied by many for she was rich and wealthy. Not to mention beautiful and attractive. She can have all the things she wants. Even drive her own car. She can travel anytime, anywhere. Her parents see to it that she'll be getting all the best in the world. But inspite having the world to her hand, she feels empty and alone. Why, she might have everything in life but her parents were separated and both have own affairs! How she really wish that she'd rather not that rich but a poor yet with a complete family. Everybody says to her she is lucky, she have no one to ask for! And when she was ask if there's anything she wish, she answered, only one wish, her parents hopefully would be back in each others'arm. How about you? If you had one wish to be granted, what would it be?

If I had one wish, I'd wish that my family will get rid of this house so we can live comfortably. Our mortgage is killing us here. I wish that we wouldn't have to worry about financial situations ever again. I don't like seeing everybody struggling and not having any time to breath because of more than one job. It' stressful here and I really want to change it.

I am sorry but i will not wish for anything. I just continue my life and if i where your friend. I will do the same but not that much. I need to save for myself and have business because i am alone now and no one will be there when i need a parents.I observed that there are lot of people same as your friends situation. They just do whatever they want. It's ok to do what you want but not that much. I hope your friend will not do things that can harm herself. She needs to remember she is alone now. She should be mature enough to do what is right and wrong. She can join charities and other stuff to help other so that she can feel that she is still worthy in this world. I will do not what to wish for anything because i am afraid that it will manipulate my life. I am very contented for what i have.

I understand how your friend feels about her situation. No one can tell if her parents would still be back together. Only time can tell. But if her parents are happy with their own relationships, she should just accept that and everyone should just move on. One day, she will also have her own family and thus, she should know how to handle family affairs so history won't repeat itself. If I were granted one wish right now, it would be my student visa. One which I have been praying so hard for.

I would wish for my children to live near me. I have everything else I could want. We have a saying, "the grass is always greener on the other side". We often envy people with wealth and beauty but we have no idea the miseries they may have.

I am sorry for your friends misfortune. I think that no matter what we have there will always be something that we really want. If I could have one wish, it would be to have a stable life. I don't want to worry about where I will live or work. I just want to wake up in the morning and know that I have a good life and it is not going anywhere.

Your friend needs to grow up. At least she has 2 parents who are happy even though they are not together. Her wish is a selfish one that's all about her happiness....forget the happiness of the people she professes to love. My wish would be to live with my best friend on a big property with a large creek where we could fish, lots of tracks for bush walking and a wonderful wild garden full of colour. There would be plenty of room for my goats, dog and cat. Our home would be very comfortable and easy to care for.

That I had a lot of money. Sorry to say it but money makes the world go around. Without money a person can't live. Everything we do costs money. Even just living and eating and breathing the air. I think this girl should be grateful even though her family isn't together, I don't think it has to do with money. Without money should would have an even tougher life and her parents probably wouldn't be together anyways so she should be happy she doesn't have to want anything in this world. She can always find her own family. A man that she can have children with herself and make her own family. I am sure her parents love her and it has nothing to do with the money that they have, that they are no longer married.

I would just wish that everyone would have a happy life. Life is unfair, we aren't equal in most sense and we get something and others won't, and vice versa. We have different points of views and experience. Just like your friend, she may have everything in kind but experiences hardships and challenges as well. But there sure is one thing in common if we are happy with what we have. We will all be contented, no more greediness and dishonesty. Less pain and suffering and a much better place to live in.

It is how the GOD gave her difficulties. She might have everything except inner peace. That's her challenge in this life to achieve. For me it is peace of mind, that I long for.

Material things can never give you the real happiness in life and i could say your family can.If i have to mention all, i have so many wishes but one thing that i would really want to come true very soon is that my hubby store to open this week.I really hope and pray for this thing to happen because this is my husband's dream and also this is to help a friend who is dying of cancer.

hi friend,so now, we should say,Money is not omnipotent. There is still something is more precious than money.for instance,a happy family.I think every one know and believe every one want a happy family rather than money in our heart. But mayb sometimes.we are lost by money...isn't it right? as for me,i insist on if i let me do a choice between money and family, i will of course choose the latter one with out a thought.I think it is good discussion which is worth to consider.lol happy every day

Feel very sad about her.. money cant bring peace and happiness.. better she can donate some money to orphanages or handicapped schools or ashrams which are in need of money.. this would give some satisfaction to her mind.. hope everything goes fine for her.. I dont have any special wishes for myself.... i just enjoy the day as it comes....

I feel sorry for that girl and I hope that her parents get back together, but I would never wish for someone to be poor and happy against being rich and unhappy. I would rather that if she were a poor girl to be poor and happy and if she were a rich girl, to be wealthy and happy. Do you suppose that the only way that she can have a family is if she loses everything? What if she really wanted to help people, do volunteer work, and go to University but now that she is poor which is what you felt was better, she cannot? that is why it is wrong to wish for a removal of material wealth in order to gain happiness. Me? I wished that I could get pregnant and have a beautiful baby or babies with blue eyes and brown hair and very healthy. That would be a miracle.

Hi sweetbarbie, I can understand where your friend is coming from. Although I've never had a lot of money, I know what it's like to have a happy family. I think it has to be devastating for children when their parents are not happy together, or are separated. She has discovered that although money can buy many things, it can't buy the thing she wants most. My one wish, to be able to bring health and happiness to those around me. Blessings.

Your girlfriend has given a valuable lesson here - you can have everything you desire, but being rich or a billionaire don't make many people happy if something else is lacking My one wish would to see my family all toether again since we last met in 2004

i agree with olivemai, and it is true that money can't buy happiness, but it can buy you things that make you happy. i don't want to be rich and i know there will always be trouble and problems. but i don't want to be rich just being able to pay my bills and not living so cheap and strict cause i can hardly afford to skim along. to just be a little more comfortable.
