i realized the new design of mylot which is great. but then i also came to realize when i get back to mylot after sleeping that when i refresh the page, which i normally do, does not refresh the page instead will redirect me back to the sign in page. well that's for added security i guess. though i miss the usual way where i just get back and refresh the page to see new discussions and responses. have a good day everyone:)

I don't think it is on mylot, my friend. I have experienced that even while I am active, logged-in and still posting. It happens to me a lot of times here. Sometimes it is with my connection. I guess that made you return to the log-in page when you tried to refresh the page. Maybe your connection just lost and reconnects after some times. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

ok it that is the case. but what i mentioned here is just what i have experienced. i remember one time, when i opened my computer in the morning, the browser automatically logged me in to mylot without asking my password. maybe they already put the security feature now. thanks... KEEP SMILING= NEIL

trust me it is. a site like this usually has a security feature. whenever you visit a site that has a login, it has what you call a 'timeout' that triggers whenever you are idle. i think they have enabled that feature now. try creating an email on yahoo or hotmail, don't send it until it's about 15 minutes. once you send it, it won't be sent but instead you will be ask to login first and all your messages are gone. also try composing an email then disconnect your modem intentionally for about a minute. once you see that your connection is back you can still send the email you composed as long as you haven't reached the timeout. by the way i'm also a web designer. lol. have a good weekend my friend

Yes I experienced that today, I was responding to a discussion and when I am ready to post it, the page that showed was a log in or register page. I realized that I was log out without logging out myself. Too bad, I had type a long response and realized it was already lost. i don't like this kind of set up. The new look of mylot also is not appealing to me, coz it's not user-friendly. I like the previous set up better.

I have not noticed this!
Currently, I'm using Firefox
and it's very compatible with
MyLot. Haven't been signed out
even once since the upgrade!

I agree with you. The new design looks great and neat. But I haven't noticed about the idle thing. I left my laptop on when I went to the market this morning. I was out for 3 hours and when I got back, I refreshed the page and it never redirected to the sign in page. I think I will have to observe too. Keep posting. Have a great weekend!

Oh neil, don't envy me. I denounced my response here. I've experienced this problem just this morning. I can't respond to my friends' discussions continuously. My page kept logging out. Whew, what a headache. I can't even post my topic. As I signed in this morning, I am in the mood. But now, I'm not.

hey there neilchua, yes I have noticed this new change that myLot did. I kinda hate this new thing since I always play games while mylotting and I open a lot of windows and since they made this change I have to sign in over and over again which sucks. I wish they have an option to shut it off so that some users who likes to leave it Idle for awhile may want it that way. :D
