Yesterday I joined at Fotolia and Big Stock Photo to sell my photos. I am so new in here. Can I ask everyone in here who already work with them, how long the process until your uploads being approved by them? Just curious....which one the best to sell our photos?? And why??

I'm with BigStockPhoto and I'd like to try some place else too to make some more spare change. Hopefully someone knows about Fotolia on here, I'd love to find out if that's a good one. I like BigStockPhoto, but I'd like to make more money as well if I could since I don't get a whole lot through my photos currently.

It varies because sometimes they are short staffed on photo approvers. I've had it take only 3 days sometimes, and other times 2 weeks. Right now they tend to be moving slowly, so I'd give it 2 weeks. The good news is, once the photos are uploaded they just sit up there and earn for you. Which is why I love stock photography, I already took the photos, now I can sit around and wait. But I do need to add some more photos since I only have about 300 up so far.

Skip the microstocks. I dabbled with Shutterstock, Dreamstime, iStock, Fotolia, Big Stock, 123 Royalty Free, FeaturePics, and others. Then I realized I was getting shafted.. and switched to REAL stock agencies. Enter in Alamy and Photoshelter. Last few sales - each over $100 PER SALE. $100 vs $0.25. Can you say no contest? The micros provided nothing but proof that there was a market for my images. The real agencies are the only way to go.

I'm on both. Out of the two of them, I like Fotolia much better. Photos I upload to Fotolia are usually reviewed within a few hours. Photos I upload to Big Stock usually take a few days to a week to be reviewed. I've also had a lot more sales on Fotolia than I've had on Big Stock!
