Does the school bus your child rides on have video cameras?

I was watching 20/20 last night and it showed this video about a 15 year old girl antagonizing the school bus driver. The 15 year old demanded to get off the bus which is illegal. You cant let students off except at their designated spots for safety purposes. So then the daughter of the woman who was the bus driver got up and started a brawl with the 15 year old girl. It was sort of humerous to watch but anyway it got me thinking if all buses now a days have video cameras installed on them? When I was young there were no cameras on the buses where I live. It would have helped protect the passengers as well as the bus driver. Some bus drivers are really horrible and will scream so loud at little kindergarteners that its just heart breaking. I would never let my children ride a bus with a bus driver on it that treats the children that way! Of course the passengers do need to keep the noise down to make it safe for the bus drivers to drive and concentrate on the road. With me I know I couldnt drive with that much noise and not get distracted and get in an accident so I know I will never be a bus driver. I think if they can't handle the noise then they shouldnt be driving passengers around!

I think now days most all buses have a servaliance camera on them. But I also think that they should go further and have a second person on the bus to keep the kids under control. The bus driver shouldn't have to be distracted by the passengers. I saw that episode. It would appear that the first 15 year old has had trouble before and her mother backs her up.Some people think that no matter what their kids do their kids are in the right.

I agree some parents think their kids can do no wrong. I dont think in our small town that the buses have video cameras. They have a few on the school grounds but not even that clear its mostly just to scare the kids into realizing they are having their actions on camera. You are righ the schools should have a person on them to discipline because the bus driver shouldnt be distracted when driving.
