Hello Rick007, I don't think it should be banned as it is you cannot smoke in any public places like pubs.resturants clubs, and public transport. If people wants to smoke let them otherwise it should not be sold. I am glad there something we got today, it"Freedom of choice". Tamarafireheart.

In my opinion, it would be really great to know if smoking would be banned most especially in public places, this would not only help lessen the air pollution but more importantly it is beneficial for the health of many. As we all know smoking is one of the contributing factors for the leading cause of deaths worldwide. I think that it would be proper to consider the advantages it would bring not only to smokers but to non smokers as well. The fact is, there are numerous cases of people dying because of smoking and some of these cases are brought about by passive smoking which is alarmingly increasing. Let us therefore join hands in celebrating life and start within ourselves to promote a healthy living for the greatest number.

No. We have to develop an awareness instead. If you ban it, it will only give rise to corrupt practices.

I think that smoking should be banned. I am a smoker since I was about 13 years old. I am 24 now, and still smoking. I do not have the power to quit this nasty habbit. So maybe if they ban it then I will have to stop smoking.

Part of me thinks it should have been done a long long time ago but the fact is there are so many people addicted to them now that you really can't do that. Maybe they could just start lessoning how much tabbaco is in ciggerates in an attempt to start to lower the need for tobbaco in those who are addicted.
