I much prefer to use a mouse because it is what I am used to. I have used a touchpad and find it quite easy to get accustomed to, but it is not quite the same as using a mouse. If I am only using a laptop for a few minutes then the touchpad is sufficient, but for a longer period I would always attach a mouse.

Is my friend I have a laptop with a very good touchpad in it but the thing is I never find it very comfortably losing it. I am very comfortable using the mouse which I have. I bought a new house for my laptop also after a few days because I was not willing at all compatible with the touchpad. Moreover I'm using a lot of 3-D applications and for those software as it is impossible to handle the objects with the touchpad because we need to press to button simultaneously a lot of time which is not at all possible with the touchpad. That is the reason I bought a wireless mouse for my laptop and I'm working with it. It is really a very convertible thing to have for a laptop. The wireless connectivity is the better option than the wide one because you have the extra bit of mobility.

Well! i have tried touch pad only twice on my friends laptop... I feel its very difficult to use touch pad.. mouse is 100 times better than touch pad... Also with touch pad we cant play computer games like counter strike etc.. So i feel a touch pad cant replace a mouse.. Also its lot easier to use than a touch pad...

I do not use a touchpad, just a good ol' mouse which sometimes does not work the way I want it too. It's just a cheap mouse and I really should be buying a better one. They are so much cheaper now. Maybe I should think of buying a touchpad. Hmmm.

I prefer to use a touchpad than a mouse n my laptop, and on my desktop I like a mouse. I like the touchpad because it is different, and it fits inside my laptop, no bringing a hard book and mousepad to run my mouse on, and no getting a mouse from my computer.
