How to climb the corporate ladder fast?

I intend to climb the corporate ladder in my company but it seems like competition is so great. Most of the colleagues are very good in building rapport and good relationships with the bosses. I am the other hand very quiet and does not "shine" enough in comparison with them. Some of them are very vocal, talk a lot and makes them more 'visible'. What would be your advise to me?
