How do you classify "addicted" for this game? There are a lot of people yelling about how everyones addicted to it. It gets annoying how if I say that I play WoW someone starts talking about video game addiction...

To me, addicted is someone who devotes all their time to the game and neglects other areas of their life. My friend bugged me for months to try it out and I finally gave in back in November. When I started, I had heard stories of people being so addicted that they've lost jobs or partners. Then I saw for myself just how bad it is for some people. One night I saw someone complaining that they had to keep the kids quiet because their husband wasn't feeling well. I thought then why are you playing the game instead of spending time with your children? It just shocked me. If you just spend a little time playing, even if it's just a couple hours each day or for raids, then I wouldn't say you're addicted. But if you're on all day, every day...then I'd say your addicted.

When you have played everyday since the first open beta testing of the game. That is what I call addicted and that is my problem. :P

Addiction comes when playing time goes from 2 hours playtime per day to 8 hours of playtime. That's when you neglect everything that you used to do, for example sports, gf/bf, family and even work. The game is set in a way whereby you'll need to be more active (level 70 raids!! and epic tier 6 loots!!) to advance further towards end game. Well, gamers should know the limits, I've seen people who handle it well and some who don't. Some people might say WOW destroyed their lives but only a good game brings the addiction don't ya think? I've stopped playing WOW after a year due to work and family. I've completed BT and maybe I'll start again once Wrath of the Lich King is out. Met some nice peeps there and definitely it was a great experience :)
