No, but seriously. I was over at a friend's house and met this guy for the first time. I was warned he's kind of annoying and a bit of a misogynist (it literally took me 2 minutes to figure out how to spell that one! whew..) So, how we got on this subject I don't know (alcohol) but he said, "Every guy has a wet dream every night" to which I replied, "HAHA WHAT? That's not true..." I mean, that is clearly false. This d-bag literally argued with me for at least 15 minutes about this.. insisting that he is right!! Then to top it off, he added, "you trying to talk about this like you know something is like me trying to talk about women's reproduction... it just doesn't make sense." So now because I am a female I obviously know NOTHING about the male reproductive system. Okay, buddy. Okay. So please all you males out there... do you have a wet dream every single night of your life?? I am going to venture a guess and say the answer is NO, but obviously I am not equipped to talk about this subject as I am a silly woman...

I don't think so. LOL Maybe the guy is just wetting the bed. Did you ask him that? Maybe his mom explained it to him that way. "Well all the little boys do that." Now he is scarred for life. He probably believe in the Tooth Fairy as well. Some people. And I bet the guy is single.

He actually has had a girlfriend for like 5 years... and apparently she is a pretty cool chick.. I was shocked and amazed and felt bad for her :\

Unlucky him. I'd sooner be awake and have a wrist assisted day dream. At least you can remember that. I can't speak for other men, but I have no recollection of having a wet dream since I was about 14!

You know, Pike - that just COULD be his problem - he hasn't matured past age 14!!! (My son was 11 when his started - I'd find his wet underwear on the floor and he'd be embarrassed. I explained it wasn't something to be embarrassed about, just a process a guy's body goes through as he grows up.)

It certainly isn't anything to be embarrassed about - but you sure as heck would be! He certainly sounds a very silly "man". Not the best chat up line that I've ever heard that's for sure.

What is considered a wet dream is a man getting a hard on. Every guy I have been with has gotten more than one hard on through out the night. He might be thinking it means to get off while asleep, but as most people his just isn't informed about what a wet dream means.

annoying is not the only thing he is. He's very disrespectful to bring up something like that around a lady he hardly knows, in fact just met! If he has any scrupples he would not talk this way around a lady. He obviously does not respect a lady! What a moron. I'm sorry but I would not have argued with an idiot in the first place. It's sad that he made you upset and feel unconfortable.

This isn't the 1800s and I may be a "lady" but I am not a prude!! And as far as I'm concerned no topic is off-limits around me simply because I am female....

I'm guessing that your friend invited you two over at the same time for pure entertainment. It would have taken me longer than 2 minutes to arrive at m i s o g y n i s t. Good job. I am woman....... and therefore I suppose, unqualified to answer this discussion.

O.k I'm a woman but have shared the bed with a man for the past 17 years and can tell you this. I know when my man has had a wet dream and when he hasn't, they do not happen every night or I would be having a lot more happy mornings. Not only is this guy wrong, he's an a s s for insisting that every man is the same or that you don't know anything about this because you're a woman. May I say also if he's having them every night it may be because he's not getting any, and the additude is probably why.

i am also a silly woman and i don't have the expertise to answer this question as i am a female... what a jerk that guy is... all i know is, i had been married for almost 3 years now and i never have to sleep on a wet sheet every night... i will be very pi**ed if that happened as i don't want to have to change and wash the bed sheet every single day... that will be too much work for me... in fact, my hubby never had a single wet dream in the three years time that i had married him... what a pathetic man... take care and have a nice day...

G/day wooitsmolly I am a male and I think he's full of sh*t when your young say about 14 you do have them but not EVERY NIGHT it might happen once a month or longer so I think he is talking from the wrong end or he must have his hand on it all the time.

Wow... I'm not sure there is any response to this other than wow... :) Having lived with a number of men, I think I can safely say that MOST men don't have a wet dream every night. Geez...

haha, completely false information he was talking. Men even usually don't have wetdreams after 13-15 years of age and they happen few times or never to each person. i must say that the guy was hell stupid.. he neither never had em and would want em, or he still gets em everynight himself and thinks all do.

Yeah, that guy's an ijit, fer sure...A wet dream is not about wetting the bed. Or swimming with the dolphins. It's a mature kinda thing, and I've had my share, both when I was younger and more involved with new hormones, and also recently. I've had about 2 in the past 2-3 months. Very strange feeling to wake up to...I remember the last one was accompanied by a related dream experience. I won't go any further, but having one every night -- in HIS case -- must be just simple bedwetting!! Tell him where he can find a good waterproof mattress cover!!*L* :-D

There is nothing that annoys me more than stupidity... I mean seriously. I can't even imagine a guy who would have such a conversation with a girl! It's not really the best way to score with females... But maybe I don't know how it's done nowadays... And you say this guy has a girlfriend?? In what imaginary world?

I'm not a man, but I am married to one. My husband sleeps naked so I know this for a fact. He does not have a wet dream every single night. It's amazing to me that the guy you were talking to would say such a thing. Maybe he has one every night so that is why he thinks that every man does. LOL! I love having conversations with idiots. It's entertaining. :)

Well I had to go look that word up! I am just a silly woman myself but I don't think a man has a wet dream every night I think he was saying that because he has them every night and wants to think that's normal. I think he is nuts.

this is just the conversation that i needed today i have had conversations just like this in the past - with drunken idiots - male AND female what gets me is that you CAN know these things, and he CAN know about reproduction, if he were to simply ask questions and listen to the answers; not sleep through "reproductive" education; or open a book occasionally!!! HAHAHA great topic of discussion

I'm old enough to have been around the block a few times. I can tell you from experience that anyone who claims EVERYONE does something, is telling you that is what they do and they know it's not normal, but they want desperately to believe it is.
