You will see on consignment or packets containing easily breakable articles, it is usually written on top of it 'glass, handle with care' to ensure safety of the articles. Since woman are generally soft, tender and sensitive, people used to compare them to glass and ask to deal with them carefully, else relationship will get spoiled! I also feel one should treat woman properly and handle them with care so that relationship does not get strained. Do you agree? Please share your opinions and views.

I believe that a relationship has to be a two way street. As a woman, I would not want to be treated roughly, either physically or mentally. However, I wouldn't want my husband to be a "yes" man. He should be able to express his opinions freely without downplaying my ideas. Women are more resilient than once thought. Few have to keep smelling salts handy for their fainting spells. We just want our voices heard and our ideas considered. Just because we are female doesn't mean that we don't have a brain.

I don't agree. I don't agree with any label that differentiates women in any way. I'd say that description should be used when dealing with ANY human being, considering the human condition is prone to sensitivity, hurt feelings, heartache, etc ... women AND men. "Handle with care" might be an appropriate way to deal with people in general .. not just women, who have been fighting for decades to not be seen as the weaker gender.
