If given a chance, would you represent another country in the Olympics?

Would you represent a country other then your own in the Olympics Games. This is currently happening in cricket, but in Olympics, the mecca of all sports, where pride, patriotism, fidelity are all in question, can somebody do it? Many great athletes have got emotional when on the victory stand on hearing their national anthem and god forbidden if someone is to get an award what would be his/her mental state then?

I wouldn't mind visiting other countries, but I would never represent any country but the United States in any sort of competition. I am an American, not a sell-out.

Actually it's a matter of personal interest before that of the nation. If the nation has not taken you seriously or not realised your potential then you have the right to do what you think is right. But, just doing it for the sake of publicity or any other reason whatsoever cannot be justified.

I would to get back at that country because they passed on me and i can show them what they are missing and it really is a great feeling. I heard a story that Becky Hammon from the WNBA (Womens National Basketball Association) was not invited to try out for the Womens USA team for the Beijing Olympics but was asked by the Russian team to come try with them and I believe that she decided to go. Many Sports writers thought she was being disrespectful for USA but I believe that she was jumping on an opportunity to win a gold medal and had all the right. If she was to win the gold medal that'll show the American team not to invite one of the best players in the WNBA

I would represent other countries , but not ANY country.. and I'll always mention my country's name and carry it's flag all the way.. if there was no chance for me to represent my own country then there is no harm I think in representing others.
