Who else here plays WWE wrestling games? Which is the last one you played?

I think the last one I played was either Legends of Wrestling 2 for Gamecube or WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 for Wii. I have pretty much every wrestling game for every system I own. I've actually been debating about whether I should get a Playstation 2 for awhile now. I hear that the earlier Smackdown vs. Raw games on Playstation 2 are supposed to be better than the latest version. I've heard about there being a Smackdown vs. Raw bundle on PS2 which includes Smackdown vs Raw 05-07 for $30. Do you think it's worth getting a PS2 for those games or would I be better off saving for a PS3? How much longer do you think they'll keep producing PS2 games?

I think the PS2 may become this generation's Atari 2600 being the console that just doesn't die. I don't have a PS3 so I can't say if it would be worth it. It will depend on what games you are looking to go after before buying one in the 1st place. I've played Smackdwon vs. Raw but hasn't gone further than that. Haven't played 2006 but those are for the PS2. Sometimes I play them and sometimes I don't. Just don't know what else to say.

I've not played it long enough to really give it a decent review. It does have Elimination Chamber bouts. I think it's not a bad game from what I've played of it and that's mainly not involving the season mode. Most of the time I don't get a chance to play 'cause I got other things I got to do.

Any opinions on Smackdown vs. Raw? Is there Elimination Chamber matches? I hear there's going to be inferno matches in Smackdown vs. Raw '09, so hopefully that makes it to the Wii version, in my case.

I like wrestling games, even though I do not play them as much as I used to,I would say that the last wrestling game I played was Raw for the Nintendo 64,which that was always one of my favorite wrestling games when I was younger,I think it would be better to save for a Playstation 3 since it can play Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 games, and I am not sure how long they will continue to make Playstation 2 games, but it will most likely be another couple years,at least that is my opinion.

Are you thinking of Raw for the X-box, because there wasn't one on Nintendo 64? The Nintendo 64 ones are: WWF No Mercy WWF Wrestlemania 2000 WWF Attitude WWF Warzone ECW Hardcore Revolution WCW Nitro WCW Mayhen WCW/NWO: World Tour WCW/NWO: Revenge My friend has a PS3 and says they won't play PS1 and 2 games on it, due to the blu-ray. He did say there was a Playstation store that you could buy older games on. (Kind of like the Wii Shop channel, I guess.) I've also read that PS3 isn't compatible with all PS1 and 2 games. I guess I could wait for a price drop. $400-$500 is a bit much for a game console, I think. Isn't it crazy that almost 8 years after the PS2 came out, you can still find new games for it in stores, unlike Gamecube and Xbox?

First let me start off by saying,I meant revenge on the Nintendo 64,I have always been bad about getting Raw and Revenge mixed up,I do not know why your friend is having trouble, because my brother has been playing Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 games on his Playstation 3 and he says they work just fine, yeah I know it is crazy that you can still find new Playstation 2 games in stores, and you can barely find used games for the Gamecube or X-box,have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

i own a ps2 and they dont really make the good games on the ps2 anymore. and i ll say that u dont buy the bundle of wwe games cause they are just all the same. the last one i played was smack vs raw 2006 and i had had enough of the wwe games by then. they were all the same and nothing much new. and i'd agree that the earlier games in the series were the best. smack down shut your mouth was good and smack down here comes the pain was the best in the series. save for the ps3; ps2 is a closed chapter. i myself bought a new gaming computer since nothing good is coming out on the ps2. happy gaming!

I have a couple on N64. And the names escape me at the moment. I remember back in the day when I would wake up every day to play them, lol. And that was back when it was WWF. So who do you use when you play yours? I like the Hardy Boys. I play Matt a lot. You should get a PS2 if you really want it.

I like to test out all the different wrestlers and I don't really have a favorite.

well the Smackdown vs Raw games on early Playstation 2 is better than the OLDER version. But Smackdown Here Come The Pain is still the old WWE games hit. I'm not sure but I hope as long as possible so it be grant a title call The Oldest Gaming System People Still Use
