"meet the spartans" etc...do you really like the comedy and enjoy them or feel disgusted that several good movies have been made fun of...

I am simply to old to get into those movies. I am sure kids think they are funny but to me they are just stupid. Honestly I have only tried to watch 1 or 2 though and that was more than I could take.

I'm pretty much ok with those movies spoofing those other good movies. It is indeed funny most of the time. Yeah, Scary Movie was a real good one and was the first full length spoof of a movie. What I just don't like about them is there is no balance between the comedy and the story. It just seemed like comedy is most of time being forced into the scenes. I have watched most of them though. Even the superhero movie as well which was just shown. It is fairly interesting though, especially if you've watched the actual movies they based their story from, that you compare and try to remember where that scene is similar to in the real movie. Like Spiderman's kiss and John Cusack's radio. Aside from that though, there really isn't much left.

I don't like them, but I could care less that they're making fun of other movies. I just think they're insanely boring and filled with bad jokes. I'd rather watch something with a bit more wit, but that's just me.

The problem with Date Movie, as I'm sure will be the case with Epic Movie, is that it's supposed to parody other movies. However, for the most part, Date Movie just seemed to reference other movies. I think people know the difference between a parody and a reference, so I won't go into explaining the difference. Let's just say that through most of the movie they would reference a movie such as Wedding Crashers. In the trailer you see a Owen Wilson look alike come out of nowhere ask, "Is it too late to crash the wedding?" I wasn't very amused when I watched the movie and that one questions was all it had to offer. That's not a parody. Why? Because Owen Wilson's character in Wedding Crashers didn't do it, or anything relevant to it. Its as if Owen Wilson would show up to a real wedding and ask, "Is it too late to crash the wedding?" And people would be like...oh yeah, he was in that movie Wedding Crashers...so, that's funny. But sadly, it wasn't. That's pretty much the feel for the majority of the movie. The only saving grace in that movie was Alyson Hannigan.

some of them are ok...i liked the "Scary Movie" series, but most of the ones after that really didn't do it for me. I thought they were more stupid than anything else. Epic Movie really disappointed me.
