Have you ever eaten too much of your favorite food?

Years ago, I loved boiled eggs in egg salad sandwiches. I had the perfect method for preparing them. And the best part? They were cheap to make. Then one day, I got hold of a bad batch of eggs and it made me sick. After that, I couldn't stand being anywhere near eggs! Have you ever eaten way too much of your favorite food and then hated it for a long time?

I am usually like that. I have a habit of eating the same stuff over and over again until I got totally tired by it, then I won't even walk near it for a whole year before I could eat it again. My mom said it's not a good habit, but it seems that I can't really change it right now.

I get into a groove sometimes with food, like with Ramen noodles soup or sandwiches and then run it into the ground. And of course, afterwards I don't want any ever.

Tomatoes. lol. Yes I have. I used to love just sliced tomatoes and then I started to hate them. I have gone through this phase several times, but each time going back to enjoying them. My fiance loathes them so if they aren't on a sandwich that would taste nasty if I ate them, I eat his. This has happened with several other foods as well. Like Mac'N'Cheese, as a kid I loved it then I started to hate it, and my fiance officially got me to love it again. Now when we have dinner,a bowl of macaroni is always between us! Have a Wonderfully Lovely Day!

Hopefully, Mac and Cheese be the only thing that ever comes between you two!

Well it doesn't come between us so much as it keeps us from holding hands at the dinner table. Lol, then again who would do that while trying to eat. I think I would end up flinging food at his father, and I doubt he'd love that. Although, we'd get a laugh out of it!

i don't think i ever experienced that before... i never like to eat too much as i will feel sick if i do that... i only like to eat adequately and just enough for my stomach... eating too much is also not good for our digestive systems as we will make them work harder to digest our food... that's why i always prevent myself from eating too much... take care and have a nice day...

If there is plenty of something, and I really like it, there is a good chance that I will eat too much of it.

I always eat too much of my favorite food and never feel like I hate it. It sounds like the only reason you don't like it is because you ate spoiled food. I think I would stay away after that. I ate at Taco Bell once and got really sick it took my two years before I could eat there again. I was really sick. Give it sometime you may start to like eggs again.

Yeah. There is one food that I won't eat now. Roasted pig. For a lot of people, they enjoy eating this and I actually did once upon a time. It wasn't, you know, a favorite, but I liked eating it especially since it wasn't an abundant commodity here in our place. When I went to my mom's place down south, they eat roast pigs very often and I got tired of the taste. Now, just seeing something cooked to that effect makes me want to barf. I don't know. Kind of strange. Now, when people offer me that certain food, I'd refuse and they would get like a disbelieving look like why the heck am I refusing something as good as that.

When I have a craving for any of my favorite food, I can eat it everyday for a whole month. I can have it for the whole day and still look for it the next day. Then after about a month, I suddenly realize I am already sick of it.LOL! I also used to love eating dimsum but one day in High School, we had a fieldtrip to one of the "warehouses" and we were free to eat whatever we wanted and as many as we can. I haven't eaten that certain dimsum in that certain restaurant since then.. it has been about 10 years already. Hahaha!

Oh, yes!3 years ago, I was deeply inlove with fried tofu. Here in my place, we have a dish called "Tokwa at Baboy". This dish is a combination of tofu(tokwa)that was fried and pork(baboy). It's cooked with the right mix of soy sauce and vinegar. And one day, I went to a well-known grocery store and bought a pack of fresh tofu. I went home and cooked it. Out of the three who ate that dish, I was the one who ate the most of it because it was really my favorite. By nightfall, I started to feel a little queasy. By midnight, I was nauseated, vomiting and had a really, really bad stomach ache. As it turned out, I had a bad case of food poisoning. My husband had to go several trips to the bathroom but fortunately was not nauseated. And as for my cousin who ate some of the fried tofu, she only had a slight stomach ache. Fortunately, she only ate a few spoonfuls of the tofu. I suffered for a couple of days from the horrible nausea, vomiting and several trips to the bathroom, too. And 3 years after that incident, I still haven't eaten a single tofu. Never dared, actually. I still wish that I can eat my favorite dish again, but I just can't risk being food poisoned again. One bad experience is enough for me.

My favorite food would have to be pizza, and I have in my life eaten too much pizza where it made me hate it,quite the contrary I can never get enough pizza, and if I could I would eat it twenty four hours a day/seven days a week, but I know that is impossible, but me and my fiance do try to either go to Pizza Hut to dine in on pizza, or to Little Caesers to pick up pizza as much as we can,or sometimes my mom even orders Domino's and has it delivered to our house.

I always eat too much especially if there's an all-you-can eat going on. I'm such a glutton sometimes so I've sworn off buffets. I haven't gone to one since May, which is already an award-winning period for me. :) I love hard boiled eggs in sandwiches as well! They taste so good with diced olives and mayo, don;t you think? Maybe you can scramble the eggs instead of boiling it so that you 'll know right away whether they're still fresh. Scrambled eggs are also good with sandwiches especially the ones with ham. :)

I used to like grilled cheese fried sandwiches and the night before I got sick with my gallbladder I had a few thru out the whole day . I know that is not what made me sick , but I associate it with that . I stayed away from them for a good 10 years , and now I just started to eat them again . I lay off the butter now , and use something lighter .

yes I once ate too much of my favorite food that it made me feel sick, I felt that my stomach was going to explode, I don't know why I ate that much, I usually don't eat in that way, but I was so hungry and I would stop eating it, I don't know why I was feeling so hungry because I have all my meals in the day and I even picked up some snacks from the kitchen, but at time of supper I was really hungry and ate a lot of chicken, plus a lot of lemonade, I even had to stand up because I would not breath while I was sitting, and it took me a long time before I would go to bed, I have to wait to my stomach goes down a little bit for be able to go to sleep, anyway I don't ended hatting my favorite food, but I don't think eat that way again.

I got sick after eating a pasta dish once. I threw up again and again. I learned the hard way that I cannot take Tylenol 3. I never ate it again. It has been 11 years now. I was pregnant with my oldest at the time.

Hi Beautyqueen, Yes I have done this, years ago I used to love Oxtail soup and would eat it any time I could. I would rather have soup and a roll than a meal at times and then I went into hospital for a while and had to eat fluids so they gave me some oxtail soup, it was so vile it put me off having it for years 20+ as I have only recently started having it again. Yes, I use to love chinese food. One week, I ate to much of it and my stomach was starting to hurt. Anyways, one morning, i felt nauseated and I threw up noodles. It wasn't even vomit, it was noodles, the way it came in, it came back out. I haven't eaten chinese food like that ever since. I have another story. I love candy. When i see candy in a store, I try to resist, but 40% of the time, I end up buying it. Well one day, I bought a whole bag of candy for the entire family waiting for me at home. By the time I came home, there were about 200 licorice. I ate about 170 and I felt so sick, I couldn't eat the entire day and my stomach was so cramped it wasn't even funny. This happened about a year ago. I'm still regretting it and I'm wondering how could this happen? I still love candy but I have limits now.

I used to be crazy mad over Halloween candy, which is pure sugar and would eat that by the bag at Halloween. Then it made me sick so I stopped!
