What would it be like to live on another planet?

Have you heard about the new research on Mars? Scientists believe that they may have found ice or possibly the building blocks of basic life. That could mean a colony on Mars sometime in the next 20 to 100 years. Imagine the possibility of living on a place like Mars. What do you think that would be like? If given the choice, would you leave Earth and go live on a Mars colony? What type of job would you do? What skills would you bring to the experiment? Would you have the same legal rights and protections as any other human? Do you think that humans in general would see Human/Martians living on Mars as a different race of people? Could this be an experiment that would bring world cooperation and peace?

I think if given the chance. I might go to Mars just to see what it looks like. I don't think i want to live there though.

Good point! My martian experience would most likely end up with me getting devoured by an Alien!

It is probably inevitable that someone is going to try and live on another planet at some point if they think that they can! Good luck to them that is all I will say, I would not go. I mean it would be a bit of a difference leaving countries to leaving planets EEK!! Although maybe they could prisons on other planets and stick all the crims up there instead!

I was amazed when I read the news that they found ice particles on Mars. They also found all the minerals needed to support life. It is amazing. I always had dreams that it would be so cool to live in a space colony on some other plant. I guess I read to many Science Fiction Books. But it sounds like a real adventure.

excellent! without question. i'd choose a planet associated with the star, maia, in the pleiades. as far as i have come to understand, there are humans/humanoids spread throughout our galaxy, especially associated with the pleaides, sirius, and orion. from my "understanding" very few cultures from among them are even close to our low level of consciousness, and the beings, generally, are in "awe" of our level of ignorance and "pathological behavior" ;-)
