Goals: I have finally reached one of mine.

First off I want to say that I finally reached my goal of obtaining a blue star rating here on mylot,which was very hard,and it took me about three months to reach this goal,since I would get very close to it,and then for some reason I would get rated negatively and I would go back down in the rating,so I stayed at a red star rating,no matter how hard I worked,but it just strove me to push myself harder and to do better and better responses,and to try and post longer discussions that people actually want to read,and might give me a positive rating,yesterday I was going through discussions I responded to when my fiance pointed out that at long last I had finally reached my goal,I was so happy with my progress,and I would have posted this discussion sooner but me and fiance have been really busy with responding to peoples discussions along with other sites we do on the computer,and with having to leave the house to accomplish different tasks,secondly I want to take all my friends ,especially my fiance who I know spent a lot of time rating me positively because she knew how important my goal was to me,who enjoyed my discussions and my responses,or just took the time to rate me positively,and I would also like to thank anyone who is not on my friends list who rated me positively,because without all the people who took the time to rate me positively I would have never reached this goal and I always try to rate anyone who I respond too,or who responds to me positively so that way they can reach there goals here on mylot,thirdly I want to ask if anyone else has reached a goal they have set for themselves recently,whether it be a long term goal that they have been working on for a long time,or whether it be a short term goal,that they have only been working on for a couple days,I will appreciate anyone who reads my discussion and takes the time to respond,and I would also appreciate anyone who takes the time read my discussion fully and give me a serious thought out response,because to me this a very serious matter because the goals can either make or break a person depending on whether a person can accomplish them or not.

Wow, it's a celebration hellocowboy...wooohooo! Congratulations..I know it's not easy to attain such color because not all people here are supporting us! I mean it's very normal not to please everyone and some will really rate negative!
I have been blue for a longer period and went down to red also for a longer period..LOL! And now, I am blue again..LOL! Enjoy and having a long post really is great since we will be earning more than of what we will get when we post with one liner! Enjoy!

Thank you my friend for your kind words,and yeah I know not everyone supports us, which does make it harder to attain such a color star,and I agree it is very normal to not please everyone,so someone will rate everyone negative,and I am glad to hear that you have been a blue star for a longer period,but I am sorry to hear that you went back down to a red star for a longer period,but I am happy to hear that you went back to a blue star once again,that is true we earn more for doing long posts than if we do one line posts,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

When I started in here about a month ago, I wasn't really paying any serious attention to my small goals though, which was to get my first star in the first two weeks and reach my payout at the end of the month.
And when I finally got a star, I was surprised to get a blue one along with it.
Then I really believe that a quality context posting is very important indeed to maintain the reputation.
As I am busy with my new job now, I seldom get to do many postings, more so with discussions but yet I find with any quality comments or responses that I made at times, I still manage to maintain my reputation so far.
That I do appreciate and thank you, my friends and other fellow mylotters for making this possible.
Now again the not so serious goal will be to continue to have fun in here and still able to reach my payout for this month

Thanks for your kind words my friend,and I do hope my blue star will stay with me for a long time,I know what you mean when I first started I was not paying much attention to the ratings or small goals though,because I was just happy to be on mylot,and yeah quality context posting is very important when it comes to maintaining reputation,and you are very welcome,and yeah it is always good to make not serious goals of having fun and trying to reach the payout on here,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

Howdy..thank you for given me the pencil. I am sure soon you will have your bright blue star up there again. With the new Mylot lift, a lot of weird things are happening lately. I have lost posts when posting it, it might be glitchesKeep posting and have fun

Yes, you are right. It was my goal to get a red star. I was thinking about getting 10 star (blue), but I'm not sure because like you said it seems like you will get it and then people rate you negatively and you go down. I would really love to have a blue star, though. Perhaps that should be my goal, but I don't post regularly enough so I'm not sure how I can get it with how much I post. I always take discussions seriously even if I don't reply a long post (some discussions don't need a long post). Then you have those that can say all that I say in less words, right? Well I'll talk to you later.

That is cool that your goal was to reach a red star,and I am glad that obtained your goal,and yeah there is always the possibility that people will rate you negatively, but if you ask me that makes it more of a challenge,and you should definately make your goal to be getting a blue star,and I am sorry that you do not post regularly and I agree not all discussions require a really long response,but instead a shorter response,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

I do try these things too and I do wish I had better guidelines as to how to get them.
Its not always possible for me to spend enough time here on this site to make a better effort.
Congratulations anyway, I, myself, hope to be there in due time.

I am glad that I have helped you reach your goal and I am very proud of you for making such great long discussions. I know that some people do not agree with the rating system as it is very clear that a few abuse this system. I think that it is a great system and allows people to see what kind of responder and discussion maker you are. I love you very much baby!

Thank you I am glad that you are proud of me for making such long discussions since I always try to do them to the best of my ability,and I know a lot of people do not agree with the rating system here on mylot,and I know that there are some that try to abuse the wonderful rating system,and I agree it is a great system and it allows other mylotters so see how good you are at starting discussions and responding to other peoples discussions,and if you have a higher rating,then more people are going to take notice of you,which means you will get more responses on your discussions and more comments on your responses to other people,I love you too,thanks for responding, have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

congratulations on achieving your goal... i know that goal is important and that is the element that motivates you to move forward... if you live without a goal, then life will be so meaningless... i also try to set a goal for myself when i do something so that i have something that can drive me to achieve it... and it can helps me to become a more successful person too... take care and have a nice day...

Thanks for your kind words,and yeah goals are really important when it comes to being motivated into moving forward,and that is true if you live without setting goals for yourself then your life will be dull and meaningless which is never good,and I am glad to hear that you try and set goals for yourself especially when you are trying to get stuff done,and that is true,cause goals can help a person bring up the percent that they are successful,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life with all the goals you set for yourself,and Happy Posting.

Congrats! It's always a satisfying feeling when we achieve our goals. I am just starting out on MyLot, and am honestly not even completely sure how this star/color system works yet. I'll find out soon, though, and look forward to setting some new goals my own here...
