i just know that any persian cats or other exotic cats without some certification from CFA or ICA, still supposed as domestic long hairs or persian a like or exotic cats a like. its really surprised me since i also just new in having persian cats. do you think is it necessary to have certificate to explain the breed of your cat or you just enough with having them? for me, i just really loving them and not too take more attention either they are pedigree or non pedigree and from what kind breeds

Unless you intend to use your animals for breeding purposes then to make the most money you would want to have them cerified/registered.Just to have them as pets and not a business you do not need to have them cerified to love them.

All of my cats are mixed breeds, so I don't have to worry about that. It think it just depends on the person that has acquired a purbred kitty. Certification usually has to be renewed each year, and there is a fee for that. I think that if I had a purebred cat, I would be happy just having it in my family and wouldn't worry about certification unless I planned on showing it professionally.

All my cats are rescues, they have no more certificate than that we love them and they love us.

As I haven't the slightest interest in the pedigree of people, I certain care less about it in cats. I've heard that the purebred ones can be high strung anyway. Gimme a ratty looking street cat as long as it is sweet and meows pretty.

I had a pedigree persian, he did not come with any papers, I think the only time that not having the papers would have been a problem would have been if I had wanted to breed him. Other than that unless you are planning on selling your cat I do not think it is necessary.
