Charlie was a man who died One unfortunate night But now lives up in Heaven And works with all his might Charlie has a special job Few angels ever get He decides the lovers And when they first met One day Charlie had a certain job To set up two special souls Who needed an accomplishment To settle all their goals So Charlie went down to Earth To meet the first of two He won her trust and friendship But fell in love with Sue Her hair was long and golden Her skin smooth as cream A voice that made Charlie cry And eyes of Heaven's dream Charlie could not help but love this girl Who in her innocent way Stole Charlie the Angel's heart One clear and sunny day But Charlie knew from the start It was never meant to be It was a love of midnight wishes And daydream fantasy So with a sad and heavy heart Charlie quickly made the match And went back home to Heaven Without a word or catch Sue never saw Charlie again Though at times when she was alone Could feel his whisper in her ear And a warmth within her bone Charlie the Angel still does his job But now with a tear in his eye For he often thinks of Sue And often wonders why. copywrited 2008.

That is great that you shared it. I love reading work that people did when they were young. It is amazing how our minds worked back then compared to now. I have to remind myself that sometimes when I read something I wrote when I was a kid.
