that myLot should have spell check? I don't know, I'm not too bad at spelling, but if I'm in a rush I always make typos and don't check before posting.

Most browsers have easily available spell checkers which can be added as plug-ins/add-ons or downloaded as separate programs, and all for free. I use IESpell for Internet Explorer, ASpell is the plug-in/Program for Opera Browser, and I know Mozilla/Firefox has a spell check plug-in as well. This is an informal setting and I believe content is more important than a typo or two. I also believe that if anyone has trouble with spelling correctly, a good spell checker will not only allow them to post comments more easily readable, but will also improve their spelling skills in time.

I always try not to make any spelling or grammatical mistakes while posting messages. And also I do always read what am going to post before actually I do it. Also I have found out that my english has improved since I started writing on mylot.

It would probably be helpful to some people. I really would like to see them add a feature where you can edit your own posts, also.

Me too, I would remove some of my posts, but I guess that would mess up the comments and stuff.

Firefox has a spellchecker in the browser. I do wish that MyLot had an edit button so goofies can get corrected. Browser crashes can cause them too. * A spellchecker built into MyLot would probably only slow an already sluggish website down. People on dial up need the patience of saints to simply navigate.

Yeah, I think it would be great if they did have a spell/grammar checker as I am also often in a rush and sometimes, even if I notice the typo while tagging the discussion, can't go back as I may have to type the whole thing over again or it may be submitted twice like I have had in the past so I just post it hoping people will know it's a typo... Would be great if there was an automatic spell checker like in MSOffice where you could 'ignore', 'ignore all' before submitting your discussion or response. Would also be helpful if one is not good at spelling or is not fluent in English as would be ok to check it in another application but you can't copy and paste till you're at 500 posts! Great suggestion

I can't wait till I can copy and paste. If I want to share a website I have to type it. I guess I'm lazy.lol

Hi flowerchild, nice suggestion. Sometime i find posts with more than acceptable spelling mistakes. They do not look good and are also not good to read. Even in some posts, I find it difficult to get the meaning of the post. Don't know whether it is my shortcomings as i can see comments against them. It is certainly a welcome feature if all the posts are error free. The new browsers have the spell check facility which really helps. Happy new year..

I think it would be nice. I dont know how many people would actually use it though. I personally am trying to write as many responses as possible and i dont necessarily care if they are perfect as long as they are readable. I'm not trying to impress anyobdy here. This isnt English class.

I have a toolbar with spell check. I think it really comes in handy, when you have brain freeze, and can not remember how to spell a simple word. I usually read my responses after I have written to make sure that typo isn't totally unreadable.

I don't really care about the spell check as long as other people still can understand what i write :) but i think having spell check here might be a good idea too, i don't mind at all about it :)

I think that it would be a good idea. Sometimes I just type to fast and mispell, but I have seen a lot of mispellings in mine and other posts. I think that it would just be nice.
