I was 16 when i had my first serious relationship, we even lived together in london. At the time it felt great but i soon relised he wasnt all i thought he was and it ended not very nicely! We were together for around 2 years though or just under. It is very difficult at such a young age to know what your getting in for. When i was 16 i thought i knew it all when i didnt! since then i have had more serious relationships but neither of those worked out for certain reasons either

I think 16 is young too. It takes some maturity to actually get along with others in a "live in" situation.

hmmm, my first serious relationship would be in college. I was 19 and started dating a guy from a neighboring college. It lasted about 8 months until he joined the Army and I never heard from him again. I was heartbroken... I had a few "boyfriends" in high school but I can honestly say they weren't serious relationships. Just your typical school romances.

im 24 and female. I do have boyfriends before but i considered my current boyfriend to be the first serious relationship i have. weve been together for almost two years and we're both very happy about it. before becoming an official couple, we dated for almost two years before deciding to go the next level. right now, we're spending more time together despite busy work. we're even talking about getting married. he's also my first boyfriend who my family like.

I would say I was 13. I am female. I remember my best girlfriend being jealous that I had a boyfriend. And my boyfriend was jealous of my girlfriend. It was a little difficult but we got through it okay. I am still friends with this boy, and also with my girlfriend.

Female, 12. It was in 5th grade. We never even held hands, but I thought it was love. He broke up with me, and it broke my heart. I later found out that he broke up with me because we never even kissed. He never even tried!

I had my first serious relationship when I was 17, we were together 5 years and to this day we are still friends. We've reconsidered getting back together but unfortunately we both reside in different states although we're just 2 hours apart.

I am a male and am 36yrs old and had my first serious relationship when I was 29yrs old. I met someone online through AOL and she lived in Miami at the time. Unfortunately things did not work out as far as getting married or anything but we remain good friends and keep in touch.
