Hello guys! As we know that our computer has hard drives that its free space will be eaten away by files. Not only by documents, MP3s, or videos, but also by junks and redundant files. Of course we can remove some unessessary files to the recycle bin and delete them permanently, but it is impossible to locate all of them in our hard drives. Ih that case, I am using some freeware applications to handle the task. There are WISE DISK CLEANER and ADVANCE WINDOWS CARE that can replace my needs, so I don't need to buy commercial one. How about you? Let me hear from you folks!

CCleaner(the true crap cleaner) works for me too, it free, fast and efficient. My other disk utility is just the build in windows utility and I hardly use them anymore. Amitavroy did a really good job describing its functions so I'll just add up to its list of satisfied users.

Yes. Sometimes a freeware cleaner claims itself to be the best, but overall it only integrates all basic function which has already been included in the operating system, like Disk Cleaner, Emty Recycle Bin, etc. CCleaner does understand every places that need sweeping. I was once using a commercial application called System Mechanics. But again, I think CCleaner can do better...

I also use CCleaner, been working very good. If you are not at ease with the options, just use it with the default settings and you will never have a problem. Besides that, I do not really know any really effective programs, so I use the regular windows harddisk cleanup utility and clear all settings of internet explorer on a regular basis.
