Ok, here's the quick and short version of the story and situation. My fiance was born in Germany in 1965. His father was in the army (he's american) his mom is German. We believe it was one of those types of situations women sleeping w/military/american men. Anywho...he does not know who is biological father is and he has always wanted to know who the man is. He's not mad he doesn't hold a grudge; he just wants to know. We know he was in the army at least between 1964 to 1966. We have his name and where he was born. Where do we start? Any suggestions????? We don't know when he was born or service number or ss# or date of birth :-( Finding his father would bring more joy to him than winning a million dollars!!!

You can try googling genealogy sites, some have Army enlistment or try Ancestry.com. With so little information to go on, it might be hard to find. Also, you can write the county seat of where he was born, and for a minimal fee, like around $3 they will do a search of birth records, give them his name and years to search, you might try 1944 - 1946 to start, as a birth year. If that returns nothing, try again with earlier/later years. If you can find his birth record, it will list his birth date, parents' names, and depending on where he was born, it might give address at time of birth, father's occupation. Good luck with your search.

Unfortunately his mother doesnt have or want to give up any information. That's why we think that it wasn't a relationship rather a 'fling'. All we know is that he's african american (black), served in the army, was stationed in germany in the mid 60's and he was born in St. Louis Missouri in the biggest hospital there at the time....

I don't know the name, I just know at the time it was the biggest hospital. At least that's what his mom told him...
