this summer, I hardly saw a bee, then in just the last month, there are bees everywhere. I am so happy to see them. I heard that many of the bees are dying off. That scares me. Without bees we would have no food. How have the poplulation of bees been in your back yard???

Here where we are in the UK,there hasnt been many bees about at all,ive seen but a few,but there have been afew bumblebees about which is a good sign,at the moment the shed is filled with bumblebees, they seem to have developed it!maybe they have been watching a programme on property development! But whatever its good to see them,so important for the pollination.

Dear yaksters, Indeed you are a bee-lover. There is no doubt about that. In terms of answering your questions though I have noticed that there were less bees in my backyard this year. It doesn't scare me because there are a lot of bee's in my front yard. I have naturally-grown flowers there that tend to come naturally. The only problem is that, there are more wasps then honey bee's lately and it doesn't really scare me because I know we have a big world. Thanks for regarding your concern. Hope I could help.

there are always a lot of wasps in my yard too. This year I have seen a new type though, it is big and amber and quite scary. I was picking tomatoes and it landed on my bare arm. Auk!
