Wrong! Lol! When you start describing God as a man or woman you are already doing something which is conceptually not on the same plane as God. Forgiving, unlimited supplies or patience, these are relative qualities and what makes you say God is those? He kills millions every minute without even thinking about it. God is beyond human feelings and qualities. God destroys stars and planets without thinking about it.

I think maybe you mean something else because I did not say anything about god not knowing human feelings, I said god is BEYOND all of these and that makes all the difference. It is like an ant talking to another ant and trying to describe an elephant. The notion of size alone would boggle an ant and that would be the main problem. Another example would be the familiar story about blind men describing an elephant. One touching the trunk and calling an elephant a large flexible hose, the other touching the legs calls the elephant a round pillar and another touching the side calls an elephant similar to a wall. All are right in some ways and also wrong in many ways. Cheers!!!

i agree god is beyond anything human, but if he knows nothing about those things, forgiveness or patience, he cant create anything that has those since he himself the source of all things existing doesnt have it, god is also those things those things and much more

i dunno, who knows, we are men and women here so we can procreate, what will be the reason for them in the spirit world, if there is such a world, to be a man or a woman, to reproduce? hmmm...i dunno

i think it meant that God made us in his image of perfection as perfect beings, not physically like him. but when eve and adam sinned from eating from that tree, we all became marred and sinners, covering up with leaves, and embarrassed about their lack of perfection that they lost when they sinned.

First of all, God has no gender. We only use 'He' because that seems to be the default gender when you don't know someone's gender (i.e. an animal, pet, etc.) Secondly, if God had a gender I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is not a woman. How can I say that? Well...............think about it. If God was a woman I seriously believe that (s)he would have made women more favorable in society. Don't you think so too? Women are still considered second class citizens. Most laws are tailored for men. Women still get paid less than a man. This is common sense. Think about it. I must reiterate here, though, that God is neither male nor female. Read the Bible. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija (my furangel)

yah, im also marveling why women are treated unjust on this recent society when in fact women used to be powerful and revered by male. before there are woman prietesses and warriors. maybe it really doesnt matter if God is a woman or not..what matters most is that HE or SHE is always there for us..very much willing to love and guide us..U

If God is omnipotent then he has both male and female potentialities. That is to say he encompasses both male and female natures yet is greater than both. Don't be confused by the use of 'he' or 'man' as a universal pronoun in the English language. Man originally meant person, males being known as 'wapmen' and women as 'wifmen' as in any language the meaning of a word differs in different contexts, thus 'man' can mean a male or a person, the same is true of 'he' all the best urban

Gender is a quality of materiality. God is spirit, (s)he's neither male nor female. When speaking of God as HE, we are following a thousands years old pattern of language, human language. There are now Christian groups who prefer to speak of God in female terms. This is as correct or incorrect as is the traditional option. Another point: According to your question I must suppose you believe that only women are forgiving, loving and doted with unlimited supplies of patience? I hope not, because I'm female and -if managed through gender only- would fall very short of this. At the other hand I know some men -males- who would answer very well to this description.
