I haven't seen it yet, but a friend did. She said that she ended up feeling sick from it. I'd like to see the movie, but I'm concerned that I would have a similar reaction.

Cloverfield is one of the best movies of all time, I think. It's clever because of the style of the film. I really like how the cinematography is done. I don't think there was anything to improve. I thought the finished product was enough. On the DVD there's deleted scenes, which I'm glad that they changed the ending because it fit better.

I watched it about a week ago. It had great potential but In my opinion it didn't quiet deliver. I liked the whole idea of filming it with a camcorder. That's one of the reasons that The Blair Witch Project was such a success. I thought the party scene at the beginning could have been much shorter. They should've never shown the monster, at least until the very end. Showing it so soon in the movie sorta took away the mystery of the whole thing. The acting could have been a little better. It could have been a little longer but I'm not sure that would have made it any better. There were too many "rest breaks" where the action subsides momentarily. It would have added to the thrill and made it more "edge of your seat" if they would have left those out, at least most of them. And, I really didn't like the fact that it ended as sort of a cliffhanger by not telling whether or not they destroyed the monster. It coulda been better.
