Window xp Login screen

I am using windows xp proffesionl.When i start my computer,my logon screen appear like windows98.We have to type login name and password(with a balck background screen)to enter to my account. How to change it to default xp style?.. suggest me to recover from this?

what you have done is got windows login setup, what you need to do is change to auto login, and If I am not mistaken you can do this from the user icon in the control panel, or you can use your systems help to fix/change that

my suggestion is might be your's xp professional some application are currupted i thing do one thing just bring another xp professional or just format you system and load operating system then this problem get resolve i am sure best of luck
