Direct TV vs. Dish Network: Which is better?

I was sitting here pondering on discussions I could start and all of a sudden it came to me to pose a question to all you mylotters out there in mylotland,who out there has satellite?If so do you have Direct TV or Dish Network? Why do you have the one you have?Which one do you think is better?Why do you think that one is better?Which one do you think is cheaper?How long have you had satellite service with the company you are with?Do you have a receiver with DVR?Here at my parents house we currently have satellite through Dish Network,even though before we moved to where we are living now we only had basic cable,and me,my fiance,and my mom,and dad are all happy with Dish Network,and I am not sure why they chose Dish Network I think they just picked one when we moved,and I think they are both just as good,because while we have Dish Network,my brother has Direct TV at his house and he has had Direct TV for as long as I can remember,and he seems very happy with it,even though he does not watch television that much,since he is usually either working,sleeping,or playing video games,and I think they are both about the same in price,because they are trying to compete with each other,and see which one can get more clients,we have had satellite service through Dish Network for almost eight years now,because it was eight years ago when we moved into the house we are living now,and we currently do not have DVR because I do not know if they even had DVR receivers when my mom signed up with Dish Network,but me and fiance are hoping to upgrade sometime in the future so we can get a receiver with DVR, so that way we will be able to record stuff without video tapes,and we will be able to pause,and rewind real life television if we need to,which is pretty awesome if you ask me,and it is very helpful when it comes to not missing your favorite movies or programs, because there are always interruptions that seem to occur when our family programs are on,as with all discussions I post on this great site of mylot,I will appreciate all people who take the time to respond to me,and I will also appreciate anyone who reads my discussion fully,and gives me a honest straight forward answer,and I look forward to all the responses I will hopefully get,have a great day.
