Laptop nowadays is not a luxury anymore but its a necessity

Hie Ella, I couldn't agree more. I use to be so frustrated with my ex company computers. The IT division has strict regulations and would screen almost any emails that come through; it was also not easy to access the internet at times. At that time, I was with the training & education department and I need to use the internet a lot for research and infos. It was very challenging and fortunately,I have a laptop then, I would bring it to anywhere when I could and no hassle whatsoever I would say, I am pretty handicap without it nowadays as I use it for all my online stuffs, communications, work and contact with friends. And it's a blessing to have many outlets of Hot Spot of WIFI around. Cheers and happy posting.

With time the necessities of life keep changing. There was a time when a desktop computer was a luxury, then it became a necessity is. Time has changed now laptop is not a luxury but a necessity in the life because of a lot of factors. The biggest thing is mobility. Nowadays we are so much depending on computers that even if we go to some place we need a computer with ourselves specially with an Internet connection because we do a lot of important jobs with the help of the Internet connection. Students nowadays feel that they definitely need computer because a lot of them are staying away from home for further studies and it is not possible to carry a desktop with them here and there. Laptop is very handy. Plus the Internet connection is also a big issue. Everywhere you go it is not necessary that you will get a good Internet connection. But if you have a wireless connectivity to use the moderns or PC cards then you don't need to worry about the same wherever you go. These are few points due to which laptops are becoming very popular in a very quick succession of time.

I am provided a laptop by my company. i never thought of buying one myself. its really helpful when i need to work from home.we have either laptop or the Desktop for all of us.for the time being, i have both.

Yes they are so convienient that its almost impossivle to get around without. But It would take a 2 thousand dollar laptop to be decent gaming one. Man I guess I'll have to get a desktop and get a laptop later.

I definitely agree with you, ellavila. Having a laptop is very helpful to me since I am still in college. I bought my laptop only last January this year and I was so thankful because I am now in my final year, and one of the requirements in order to graduate in college is to have a thesis. Before, I have to go to internet cafe just to type my term papers or research papers. I am glad that I would not be able to do that again. So, having a laptop is really a necessity especially to a student like me.
