Ok, one thing I could share is image adjustment level. There are pictures that are not right in term of exposure, sometimes it is too dark or it is over exposed. Making adjustment brightness tend to loose more details so I use levels. The color histogram shown like a mountain from left the dark color, right shows the start of light color the mid part are the colors in between and its the peak. If you notice there re three triangular button knobs below that graph. You'll just have to align the two side at the foot of the graph and adjust the mid button untill you could see the desired effect. I normally don't use the auto level for I don't have control to it.
