Caffeine can actually stimulate the brain and nervous system. It can make you feel more alert and better able to concentrate, and it also increases acid production in the stomach, which helps digestion. However, too much caffeine is no good. In fact, too much of anything is no good. The disadvantages of caffeine are that it raises your heart rate and blood pressure and makes you pass more urine - so you may end up losing calcium if you have too much. Sensitivity to caffeine varies from person to person, but too much can make you anxious, restless, irritable, jittery and sleepless. It can also give you headaches, stomach pain, nausea, muscle twitching or palpitations.

I understand what you mean about being confused because I too have heard people on both sides of the fence on this. Though I drink caffeine everyday I don't think it is good for me. My doctor always told me not to drink it while pregnant and when you look at a lot of illnesses they say to not drink caffeine to help. I think that small doses will not hard you like a cup of coffee a day. But if you are downing a couple pots a day then it may affect you negatively. Too much of anything is not good for anyone.

I think health is connected to your mind. So I have a perfect pefect health and I drink lots of coffee. Today seems all is good and all is bad for your health. Just see what YOU think is good for you and forget opinions.
