When do you know its time to quit some thing? What does it take to make you 'wash your hands' of some thing? What is it that makes the light bulb go on in your head? I'm talking about every thing here. Some examples: When is it time to quit smoking, or quit your job, quit drinking, and so on... What did you quit and what made you do it?

I tend to be a fighter so sometimes I'll really fight in some situations when some people would have given up a long time ago. I just hate losing and I see giving up in some situations kind of like losing so I'll fight to the bitter end. When I get tired and stressed and just can't put up with it anymore, then I know that it's truly time for me to quite. That means I've stuck with it for as long as I possibly could and it's just not worth it anymore.

This light bulb most of the time comes on too late from me. I'm not saying that i am slow in grasping things, it's that this realisation come late, and sometimes just too much has happened by then. My experience was with my firstjob. I just hung on too long in the company thinking that things would get better. Too many opportunities passed by till I realised that I was not going anywhere and then quit.
