make money with online surveys

I signed up for survey scout and then signed up for all those compaines. I get all these emails that give me free gift cards, ps3, xbox 360, shoes, computers, wiis, tvs and i justs stopped bothering after a week. And then i heard that it normally takes 2 weeks after signing up you get the money surveys and you only get about 3 or 4 a month from each company. I was just woundering if there is any one out there that has done or knows someone who either has the same problem and is getting the surveys to make money or if someone isnt getting all those weird emails but is making money with surveys. The main things is do the make money with surveys actually work. Thanks for the help.
