Training of the Elements

In my current training i'm trying to train my punches with each Element. So far i've done air (regular punches with hitting nothing) and now i'm training with water (I punch the water and sometimes the sand at the bottom) I know that there's not much with air, but with the more difficult of the element, the more ways to train with it. From what i've found, difficulty goes... Air-Water-Earth-Fire So far i've got ideas about Earth of punching ground and trees and for Fire i've got the classic set a rope on fire and strike that and i've got punching burnt logs. My question is... What additions would you have for improving my training with the elements? (no rocks because that can deform the bones and that's not what i'm looking for)

Well let me first start by telling you that you are wasting your time punching water and the air, you should be practicing with a human being or a heavy bag at the least. Second of all, you say you do not want to hurt your hands, but still say that you want to punch and kick wood? That is not only completely stupid and pointless, it will deform and harm your hands and will not make them any stronger, only more painful and suceptible to arthiritis and carpel tunnel. Now to stop my trolling of you, I would give you the advice of training with an actual person and warming up on a heavy bag, 50lbs or more. But friend, you are wasting your time and I hate to see another misinformed brother of the martial arts being fooled by crap you see in kungfu movies...just stop, please, for me^.^Train hard, live harder.
