It all depends on what sorts of travel you want? Nature? Theme Parks? Who knows these things are just actually nearby and you won't have to spend much to travel. One thing I learned from my past travels, do not go to the travel agency. Make friends from those places you want to go to and then eventually make them your travel guide. They may not go with you personally during your trips. They can give you lots of tips, do's and don'ts. The first time you set your foot on that place, take a walk...first block...2nd block...etc. Walking is healthy and can get you familiar with your surroundings. You can also read travel reviews, and list down the important places to visit. Plan your travel well.

hi, you can check out travel agencies and get good deals on travel.. i know of a great site called yourwayoftravel.com you should check out. You can also try becoming a travel agent , i have an uncle who is one and he gets lots of discounts on everything, not only travel, for being a travel agent, and also gets great commision ...

I really love to travel and even when I haven't had much money I have still been able to go traveling. One of my cheapest trips was two weeks exploring Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia. I got a cheap flight to Trieste in Italy then got an overnight bus to Dubrovnik. I stayed in a youth hostel there. Then I got a bus to Kator and I found a private room to stay in there. Next I got a bus and boat over to the island of Miljet. I stayed in my tent at a camping ground there. Next I took a boat and bus to Trogir. I stayed in my tent at a camp site with a view of the ocean. From there I took a day trip out to a lovely island. Next I took a train from Split to Ljubljana. Next I took a bus to the village of Bled, a beautiful place with on a lake with an island in the middle of it. I suggest cheap accommodation like youth hostels, backpacker hostels, camping and budget guest houses. I think that cheap flights can get a person a long way from home then trains, buses and boats can be used. Some countries are expensive so there are not many bargains in places like Japan but other countries are cheaper to travel in like India. Look at travel guide books in your local library, that should give you an idea of costs in different countries. Working holidays can be lots of fun or working overseas is also a way to afford to travel. Good luck.

You could look into a career in the travel industry. If you work in the travel industry, you get a lot of discounts when you travel. I know if you work for an airline, you can pretty much fly anywhere for free. Or your job might even call for a lot of traveling! And then they would pay you to travel! Definitely something to look into if you really enjoy traveling, but find that it's too expensive!
