Wow, This is amazing. Its almost like, will this guy ever get shot or impeached? Today the sales records came out on cnbc showing a 90 percent decrease in consumer spending, and god old georgie says " Economy is Bassically sound ". Wow, what do you think is it sound, do you agree with bush? I freakin dont. Apart from that, whats your opinion on the new bill that paulson wants to pass to protect taxpayers?

This just shows you how out of touch President Bush is. He doesn't even try to fake it and act like he feels the pain the American people are experiencing. In my opinion, he just doesn't care about "everyday Americans". He caters only to the wealthy. That is why he supported tax cuts for the wealthy. I can now say that President George Bush is the most imcompetant person who ever lived in the Oval Office. He doesn't have a clue as to what is going on and he doesn't have clue as how to fix it. I wish he would just resign from office and go away. His Presidency will go down as one of the worse in American History. I often wonder how people ever voted for him a second time. The same people who supported him are now feeling the pain from his policies. He is just awful. Lloyd

"Their is no doubt the United States is in a crisis George W. Bush, not long ago signed a bill that would help most every American, stimulus checks was send to the vast population of the United States. " You think that 900$ stimulus check has helped make a dent in the increased cost of EVERYTHING????? Be serious. I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income. I got a 41$ increase for cost of living. My heating costs went up 100$ a month. Then, groceries as a whole have gone up about 30%. Then look at gas to go to the grocery store or doctors............... You really think that stimulus check has made that much of a difference???????? NO DOUBT????? That stimulus check ain't amounting to a hill of beans. It's a band-aid on a gushing artery. Bush doesn't have the faintest idea the reality of people who are having to decide between buying gas to get to their jobs or buying groceries. Where does it end?

She's not a senior in high school, she is what she calls a "senior citizen". What she and many others fail to realize that authorizing more drilling here in the United States won't solve the problem of oil prices. Why????? Because you can drive all over Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas and see good oil wells capped off because they can't sell their oil. Because of the agreement our government has made that we will purchase a certain amount of oil from other countries. Drilling more wells here in the USA isn't going to change that fact. It's not a question of having enough oil here at home, it's a polictical bunch of crap that is keeping us from using our OWN OIL More capped off oil wells aren't going to change that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lloyd, I agree with you. Someone needs to take him to a doctor. He doesn't think with a rational mind and hasn't a clue as to all the problems that his blunders have really led to. When I see him on TV, my mind says "duh". I think his says that all the time!

It's "basically sound", all right! Just like a few weeks ago he said there were already signs that the stimulus was working and a few months before that he "hadn't heard" gas was going up to over $4 per gallon. It probably could be said that most Presidents and many politicians in general tend to live in a bubble but no one has ever been so totally clueless as this dufus! Please let his last few months go by quickly, PLEASE! Annie

It's comments like this one from Shrubbie that really make me wonder who the people were that voted him in for a second term are. MY LORD... But you see,,,,, I sort of understand how he comes up with comments like that. You see,,, he lives in a completely different world than the people like you and me who are struggling to make ends meet. You see,,,, he's never had to scrape by and eat mac & cheese for a week because he's never had to live on sh*t and a shoestring. You see,,,, he's lived the privledged life all along. He's never had to soil his hands with actual Hard work!!! Sure, he thinks the economy is basically sound.. cause he's not payin to fill the gas tank of the presidential limo... WE ARE!!! He's not having to pay the tab at the grocery store and seeing the increase in prices across the board.. WE ARE!! In his world, his economy is basically sound.. We're picking up the tab!!!!!!! He don't have a clue.
