My number went down

Does your number go down if you are inactive? I was thinking that maybe the fact that I was off on a camping trip and not online was the reason. Any ideas?

Hi, the number you're saying is the rating on our star right? I think it's how people rate you also because some of my friends also experience that one before, a few months ago.. In one night their number just suddenly dropped which made us curious and try to find out through the admin what happened.. But if you really do good here then you shouldn't worry about your number going down.. :)

Thanks for the reply. And yes I was referring to my star, I'm sorry I hadn't made that clearer.

I have the feeling it's only because of discussions being deleted. We don't usually notice them when we're here every day, but if we're going awhile, it's noticeable. I've "thought" mine went down overnight, by just one or two, but wasn't sure. When I wasn't here for an entire day, my number definitely went down. I don't get it. I don't think I respond to anything that breaks any rules, but I suppose you just never know.

I just thought of something. Are you referring to your number of posts or your rating? If it's your rating, then I don't have a clue!

My husband does the same thing to me all the time! He thinks half of his statement, then speaks the other half. LOL I just thought of something about the star. I bet it has something to do with deleted discussions. If you get a lot of positive ratings on discussions that were deleted, your star rating could go down, theoretically speaking, of course! If enough of your positive ratings were from deleted discussions, that could make your star rating decrease, if it's just on the edge to begin with. I was 99/100 for awhile, then for 2 days I was barely active at all and my rating went down to 98/100; not enough to make the star change to a 9. If I had been around 95/100 (or whatever the lowest rating for a "10" is), and I lost some positive ratings, it would have gone down to a 9. Did that make any sense? (I'm going to give you as many positive ratings as I can to get you back up to that 10 you deserve!)

Yeah it was my little star rating. I do want to apologize for not making that clearer. Sometimes I forget that the rest of the world has no clue what is going on in my head then will say something with missing parts.

That's happened to me but not every time I'm away. It's only been when I've been away for a week.

First let me thank all that replies. I figures out what happened apparently I said something that a few people didn't like. I'm used to that so no big deal. As for camping ... yeah we had a blast. We try to go every other weekend. It's a good way to get to spend time with the kids with no electronic distractions. There are less fights and a lot more laughs. Thanks for asking.

Yeah, i think that the number wont go down if you are inactive, but someone just rated you down. And like someone said before i would go away from religious discussions if you wanna keep your star. Theere are so many different beliefs on different people that i am sure you lose all your stars at one night . Anyway i wish you good luck getting your rating back
