There are acronyms used all across the internet. lol, jk, gr8 and the list goes on and on. However, if I remember correctly one of the frequent lingos was used even before the internet was created. Coined by the brillant scholar from England I believe...Tigger If you have ever seen a Winnie the Pooh movie you have probably heard what I am talking about. "TTFN" Ta Ta For Now. I still use that in chatting with people and even in speech. As a matter of fact my daughter uses acronyms in speech. She'll say "LOL" and it just makes me so mad. It's one thing taking a shortcut writing but not talking. So how many remember Tigger saying that? How many of you have used that acronym? Here is the real question. How of YOU TALK using acronyms? TTFN

I remember Tigger saying TTFN. It's true that people now talk with acronyms. I think I mentioned in another discussion with you today about how my stepson pronounces the acronyms like they are words.

Yes you did mention it. Actually that is what made me start this discussion. I had an idea about it and forgot but then when you said that yesterday I remembered what I was going to say.

I admit I do say TTFN. But it is usually when talking to young kids and I make the voice of tigger to do it, so I guess that is alright. Right? Thanks for the response.
